Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Palma’s Centre district, Cannibal Cantina Bistro offers an exceptional dining experience that beautifully marries local Mediterranean flavors with innovative, eclectic influences. This intimate restaurant is a true culinary gem, where each dish reflects the freshest market finds of the day, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving menu that keeps guests coming back for more.

The cuisine here is a delightful fusion, anchored in traditional Spanish and Galician roots yet elevated through masterful execution and creative flair. The menu, or "Carta Viva," changes daily according to the freshest ingredients—ensuring every bite bursts with authenticity and quality. From the delightful pimientos del padrón—those gently blistered, slightly smoky padrón peppers—to the indulgent Provolone cheese paired with crispy bacon and aromatic basil, every starter is thoughtfully crafted to awaken your palate.

Among the standout discoveries, the duck gyozas come with a tantalizing soy-peanut-chili mayo dipping sauce that perfectly balances savory richness with subtle heat. The home-made Russian salad offers a comforting, creamy texture packed with fresh, vibrant elements. For seafood lovers, the bacalao carpaccio with sun-dried tomato is a sublime expression of delicate flavors and pure ocean freshness, while the fresh anchovies on vinegar deliver a sharp, briny punch that delights the senses.

The highlight for many is the succulent Huevos Rotos, a hearty plate combining golden fries, perfectly fried eggs, and robust Iberian chorizo—a textural and flavor symphony that captures the soul of traditional Spanish comfort food. Those craving a more substantial main should not miss the slowly oven-baked veal paired with tender potatoes, which is a testimony to the kitchen’s dedication to patient, loving cooking techniques.

The ambiance at Cannibal Cantina Bistro is as thoughtfully curated as its menu—warm, cozy, and inviting with a genuine down-to-earth vibe. The attentive, personalized service adds a special touch; staff are passionate about their craft and eager to recommend wine pairings that complement the eclectic dishes brilliantly. The intimate setting encourages sharing plates and conversations, perfect for couples seeking a romantic culinary adventure or friends looking to explore new tastes.

Patrons frequently praise the bistro for its freshness and authenticity. One guest, Adam Keefe, was impressed by the “amazing and perfectly cooked” dishes, remarking that it ranks among his top Palma dining experiences. Another, Maia Paun, couldn’t stop raving about “the perfect fish, the perfect steak,” and especially the “best cheesecake ever,” highlighting a dessert experience as unforgettable as the savory plates. The highly recommended scallops and imaginative dishes like squid in ink and Iberian pork further showcase the kitchen’s impressive skill set and creativity.

What truly sets Cannibal Cantina Bistro apart is its commitment to local produce and the element of surprise embedded in its daily fresh menu, making every visit an exciting journey. Whether you’re indulging in a glass of sangria alongside sublime scallops or savoring a slow-cooked beef dish, the flavors here resonate deeply and leave a lasting impression.

For anyone craving an authentic taste of Palma with a modern, thoughtful twist, Cannibal Cantina Bistro is an absolute must-visit. Book early to secure your place in this small yet enchanting spot where every detail speaks of genuine passion for food and hospitality.

I was a bit dubious about this place given how small the menu is online but was blown away by the food. The menu changes daily based on what's fresh at the market in the morning, hence why the menu isn't extensive, but every dish we had was amazing and cooked to perfection. I've eaten at many restaurants in Palma and this is now firmly up there as one of my favourites. The service was also great too, despite being fully booked. I would definitely recommend booking in advance though, as we watched multiple people get turned away for not having a reservation.

Great spot for fresh, local food. Menu changes based on what’s fresh and I love that. We were fortunate to have the beef purchased that morning and it was very, very good. The cheesecake was also incredible, highly recommend. Prices are reasonable and service is personal with honest and helpful recommendations on food and wine picks.

The perfect birthday gift in Palma was the dinner we had here. The perfect fish, the perfect steak (forgot to take a photo, that’s how good it looked when they brought it to our table, we just emptied the plate). And I could talk about the home made cheesecake forever. I could eat cheesecake 3 times a day, everyday. But this one … OMG! Hand on heart and soul, was THE BEST cheesecake I ever tasted. Fresh, rich, full of flavour, mouthful of Heaven Thank you for the perfect bday dinner

The most down to earth and unpretentious dinning experience! Best Galician food ever with the freshest ingredients and eclectic fusion cuisine and the best whisky sours!!!

We loved Cannibal! Truly talented chefs using amazing local ingredients. The most delicious squid I’ve ever had in my life, not pictured because it was gone too fast.

Nice restaurant, fresh ingredients. Recommend level (start with most recommended dishes) - scallops (must have) -squid in ink - Iberian pork (real juicy but small portion) - clams in sauce (normal level) - lobster with French fries, eggs and bacon (lobster itself taste good and fresh, nicely cooked, but personally i dont favor the combination with fries, and the price is considerably littel high, 60 €)

We found this place by just wandering around, and I am so happy we did. The name was the thing that made us interested first. Then we saw the menu and we knew we had to try it. It is quite small so be sure to book a table. The food was incredible. Everything was made to share between two and the waiter was extremely helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere was great. You know the feeling you get when you interact with people love their job. A really beautiful experience.

Sublime food! Menü changes daily based on availability of the ingredients. Each course was amazing - special shout-out to the scallops! The sangria was also very good and the service super friendly. Absolutely recommended and my favourite eating out experience in Mallorca so far.
